THE “ERMENEGILDO ZEGNA FOUNDER’S SCHOLARSHIP” PROGRAM PROVIDES FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO SANT’ANNA SCHOOL TALENTED GRADUATES

The Sant’Anna School for Advanced Studies has been chosen to join the third edition of the “Ermenegildo Zegna Founder’s Scholarship” program which provides financial support to Italian outstanding students who wish to return to Italy after completion of postgraduate studies abroad, in foreign academic institutions that are among the world’s most prestigious, both in Europe and USA.

The Ermenegildo Zegna Founder’s Scholarships for a total amount of 1 million euro, were awarded to 34 students (15 female and 19 male) chosen from among 56 candidates designated by the deans of the 11 Italian universities and Sant’Anna School, part of the program.

A high percentage of the candidates will enroll in the University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, London School of Economics in UK and in Harvard Law School, Princeton, Stanford, Columbia University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology e University of Toronto in USA. The remaining eligible candidates will attend courses in European universities and in Australia.

The range of specialization include Master, PhD and Post-doctoral degrees, in addition to specific research projects. The fields of specialization were chosen with regard to the individual focus of study and range from science, humanities and law, to medicine and economics.

The Ermenegildo Zegna Founder’s Scholarship program is a tribute to the founder of Zegna group, Ermenegildo Zegna (1892-1966), who was well-known for his philanthropic works and commitment to charitable cause, as well as for his innovative approach to entrepreneurship.
